Waiting List Feature

Zenamu's waiting list feature allows clients to book a class even when it is fully booked. This ensures that even if a class reaches full capacity, clients still have a chance to attend if a spot becomes available.

Note: This feature is available only if you are using the credit pack system or the entry pass system. This means you must offer bundles that clients can purchase to make reservations.

When a client with a credit pack or entry pass wants to book a fully booked class, their reservation is processed using these credits or entries. The amount used for the booking is held as a deposit until a spot becomes available. This allows the client to be added to the waiting list for that class.

What Happens When a Spot Becomes Available?

The waiting list operates on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis:

  • First Vacancy: The first client on the waiting list is offered the available spot.
  • Subsequent Vacancies: The second client on the waiting list is offered the next available spot, and so on.

Zenamu automates this process. When a spot becomes available, the client at the top of the waiting list is notified via email, and the previously blocked deposit is fully charged from their account.

What If No Spot Opens Up?

If no spot becomes available, the credits or entries used for the reservation are automatically returned to the client’s account.

How to Set Up the Waiting List

To enable the waiting list feature:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to Class Booking.

Alternative: Watchdog Feature

If you prefer to simply notify clients of available spots without using the waiting list, Zenamu offers the "Watchdog" feature. This allows clients to sign up for email alerts when a spot becomes available.

  • Waitlist Activated: If the waiting list feature is enabled, clients on the waiting list receive priority, and the watchdog does not send an email.
  • No Clients on Waiting List: If there are no clients on the waiting list, the watchdog sends an email alert when a spot becomes available. This alert allows clients to book the spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
