What is Asana?

A physical yoga posture that benefits both body and mind. Each asana strengthens, stretches, and harmonizes the body.
The word ‘asana’ comes from Sanskrit and means “seat” or “pose.” In yoga practice it refers to specific body positions, each designed with a purpose – to stretch, strengthen, or calm.
Asanas are the building blocks of yoga. Combined with breath and focus, they bring balance to body and mind and teach greater awareness in daily life.
